Unshaven-FUE does not shave at all
Berlin Hair Transplant has also been using the Unshaven FUE method since 2019. This means that shaving is not necessary in the reception or donor area. The complete absence of a shave means that the patient is fully socially acceptable again after only a few days and no traces of the procedure are visible.
With manual FUE, the donor area must be completely shaved in order to reach the hair roots without any problems. Especially for patients who wear their hair longer than 2 cm at the back of the head, this leads to the fact that the appearance of the hairstyle is strongly restricted for a longer period of time by the necessary shave. However, since many patients want to perform a hair transplant rather discreetly without their environment being aware of it, this leads to considerable restrictions and a long normalization phase following the operation.
Unshaven FUE is the method of choice here. As soon as the blood scab on the wound is gone after 10 days at the latest, nothing more can be seen of the operation.
Our experts first locate the best hair in the donor area and then shorten only the hair intended for removal, in order to harvest the root immediately afterwards. Thus the remaining hair remains as it is and the so-called donor (extraction area) is no longer recognizable after four days.
